Following much anticipation, M/Group is excited to announce that pre-sales for our latest residential landmark, Amara Estate, officially launched at the end of July 2025.
Amara Estate is a secure, gated community with shared green spaces and residence clubhouse. The primary goal of this project is to facilitate delivery of safe, affordable, climate-resilient homes in a secure, gated community for essential workers in this high priority regional location in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder area. The essential key workers include and aren’t limited to the following industries: childcare, education, emergency services, government employees, healthcare, and retail.
Currently, there are 40 dwellings pre-sold, and 36 dwelling contracted to be leased to the Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH) program. Demand for sales and leasing remains exceptionally strong, driven by Kalgoorlie’s current vacancy rate of less than 1%.
The project is set to move into the construction phase early next year. The Building Contract and Civil Works package has been finalised, and we have secured full project funding through the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).

New Leederville Icon Officially Opens
On Saturday 14 October at 11am, Leederville’s newest architectural icon and local tribute building will officially open in a ceremony led by the family and descendants of the original site owner, who built a soft drink empire and created a Western Australian legacy.
M/24 by Match in Carr Place Leederville is inspired by the site’s former occupant, Golden West Aerated Water Company, which was established around 1902 by Mr Jack James Wallis (known as J. J. Wallis) to produce soft drinks of various kinds, such as ginger beer, lemonade and kola beer.
The property is mixed-use development consisting of 39 residential apartments and four commercial units on the ground floor with a feature façade that was inspired by the building’s former use, and generated by the digital modelling of patterns formed when bubbles intersect. The dynamic patterns – known as ‘Voronoi’ tessellations – give the impression of a form bubbling out of the site.
M/Group Managing Director, Mr Lloyd Clark, said the unique concept and tribute to history has attracted a great deal of attention from the community and clearly indicates a thirst for edgy product that enhances the streetscape and tells a story.
“M/24 demonstrates that investing in good architect can pay dividends in a market that responds to unique product. The success of this project is more pronounced in an environment that is too often brimming with high density, cookie-cutter designs that do very little for the streetscape or potential capital growth,” he said.
“Community feedback and kudos for the project has been overwhelming, and we are so pleased with the standard of environment we are handing over to new owners.”
Designed by Melbourne Architectural firm and company behind Perth Arena, ARM Architecture, the property is creatively structured internally with two distinct living environments; one with an active street-front outlook and one that is more relaxed overlooking a linear communal area with views towards the city skyline.
Joining the official opening festivities will be J.J. Wallis’ grandson, 85-year old Hal Wallis, who spent some time working at the factory, together with great grandchildren Peter, Barb and Julie, who performed part time jobs under their father, Robert James Wallis, who served as the Production Manager until the mid 60s.
“Match started in the industry some 16 years ago with a vision to offer something ‘different’ to enhance the urban streetscapes and really embrace the inner-city lifestyle, and we have been providing great lifestyle opportunities to the market ever since,” Mr Clark continued.
“We consider M/24 is great success that will now take its place amongst a string of unique and interesting projects the company has had the honour of being part of. We sincerely hope the community enjoys their preview of what will undoubtedly become an icon.”
M/24 incorporates plaques and artworks that pay tribute to the original site use and owner. JJ Wallis died in 1919 after building the successful Golden West Aerated Water Company, which is reported to have taken steps to move from its previous premise in Fitzgerald Street to Carr Place (formerly Leeder Street) in 1902. By 1907 the factory was in full swing.
A number of apartments are still available and priced from $420,000. For more information visit m24apartments.com.
